When will the country talk about the suicide of soldiers??
See the irony, in India, our country full of self-proclaimed patriots, for the last decade, only “Politics on Religion or Politics of Religion” have been discussed. Apart from this, agitations were held on many issues including inflation, unemployment, rigging in elections and law and order.
But no one was ever ready to talk about the suicides of approximately 1400 soldiers in the last decade. Still we never get tired of calling ourselves patriots.
Because now, on the basis of personal experience, I have started to feel that most of the common citizens of the country do not have the desire to think beyond the fulfillment of their needs. At the same time, along with the officers and soldiers of the army, paramilitary and police, the governments of the country and the state are also not worried about the lives of between 120/140 soldiers who commit suicide due to various reasons every year. That is why no demonstration or movement was ever carried out for this serious problem. Roads were never closed anywhere, nor was Parliament or Assembly surrounded.
That is why the number of suicides among soldiers gradually increased with time. We have no time to talk about this national problem, and the government has no intention of making a policy to stop these incidents. The people in power are well aware of the fact that the situation of unemployment in the country is such that even if 100/150 soldiers die every year, thousands of youth again come forward to join the new recruitments in their place. I will come and stand.
